My paintings are often inspired by my love and fascination with ever-changing skies and cloud formation.
In this piece, looking through the mist on a winter forest walk, I tried to capture the soft golden hue of sunlight, as is crept slowly through the trees.
The light ignites the gold, as it shimmers and reflects on the textured forest floor
- a very striking pallet.
I am always drawn to the movement and mood of light - Calm and dreamy, to dramatic and surreal.
I study the landscape and skies over the Cheshire hills, close to my home - and also the coast around Anglesey, North Wales.
