One of the tree in a series inspired by my homeland, my roots, the history of my country and my visit to the islands of Cyclades.

Like in many places around the world, in ancient Cyclades people believed that their loved ones continue to live after death. That is why they used to add next to them in their burial place their favourite objects as well as small statues that they believed they will need in the after life. These statues are called "eidolio" "ειδώλιο".

I loved these forms and shapes since I have been a child. I loved to visit the museums with my parents and spend hours looking at them. In my eyes they were deeply fascinating and always charmed me and triggered me to paint them.

These memories returned this year suddenly and I felt the need to create this series of paintings all inspired by them.

The painting is coated with a thin layer of mat UV protection. It is shipped insured and packed with great care and attention in strong and secure cardboard packaging. It comes with certificate of authenticity.
