Morning (2016) Original Oil Painting by Florina Breazu

"Morning" is a series of works that captures the delicate moment of awakening, when the world gradually emerges from the stillness of night into the first sensations of a new day. The pictorial gesture is subtle and suggestive, evoking the fragility of this transition through an interplay of color, light, and movement.

Rather than depicting awakening as a literal event, the works explore it as an intimate and contemplative experience - a gradual passage from silence to awareness, from obscurity to clarity. The fluidity of the brushwork preserves the spontaneity of the moment, allowing forms and colors to appear as fleeting impressions, suspended between dream and reality.

The series evokes a sense of freshness, renewal, and quiet anticipation, reflecting the poetic potential of ordinary beginnings. Each work becomes a meditation on the rhythms of existence and the subtle beauty of a moment in which perception is renewed and the possibilities of a new day begin to unfold.
