This skateboard deck art is part of my "Butterfly Effect" series. Inspired by the Monarch butterfly, being a witness to it's life cycle in the Canadian summer months in Ontario. I aim to capture and express the pure energy and beauty associated with this unique creature.
This piece is composed of acrylic and spray painting on a blank wooden skateboard deck and finished in multiple layers of glass like epoxy resin infused with gold and silver leaf as well as holographic foil, giving this piece incredible depth, dimension and new perspective from every angle.
