29 x 42 x 0.01cm (unframed) / 29 x 42cm (actual image size)
£200
Original artwork description
Woman drawing a cloak of starlight around her lover.
Painted in Winsor & Newton professional watercolour on handmade Indian Khadi paper; the beautiful soft blue/grey shade of the paper forms the basic colour of the image and here I have used a limited palette of white and brown with some black and cerise highlights.
Painted on a day when it was beginning to snow in early December 2017 and also inspired in part by a story I read in Indian Mythology about the god and goddess Shiva & Parvati which said: "What else are the Stars but droplets of sweat flung off by their lovemaking?"
Size: A3 / 12 x 17 inches
Khadi handmade is an acid-free cotton rag paper from India - a medium weight 210 gsm paper with a pretty deckled edge.
Available unframed.
The painting will be wrapped in acid-free tissue, carefully packed (flat), sent by Tracked Delivery.
