Lightning storm, 2018.
I found the theme of lightning in the dark soft cloudy sky challenging and exciting especially using watercolour as a medium. The scene itself is as frightening as it is comforting, surending oneself to the force and power of nature. I used Dr Hydrus Watercolour inks in combination with masking fluid to depict a lightning storm and dramatic contrast between the lighting and foggy, blurry, soft night sky.
This painting is sold unframed. Certificate of authenticity by me is included.

Dr. Ph. Martin's Hydrus watercolour inks, Winsor@Newton watercolours, Jackson's rough, 300gsm, acid free paper
