I created this abstract seascape painting as an exploration of openness, reflection, and light emerging through layered atmosphere.

Working with acrylic on canvas, I built the composition gradually using palette knife and expressive brushwork. Shades of soft blue, silver-grey, warm beige, white, and deep earthy tones move across the surface, creating depth and contrast. Delicate ochre passages introduce warmth and luminosity without overpowering the calm neutral palette.

The painting is structured around a reflective open space that suggests water, sky, and distance without becoming literal. Layered textures, subtle drips, and expressive marks create movement and rhythm, while preserving a calm and expansive atmosphere.

I wanted this work to feel immersive and spacious — like standing before an endless reflective landscape where light continues to shift and unfold. The textured surface interacts beautifully with natural light, revealing changing nuances of blue, ivory, grey, and warm earthy undertones throughout the day.
