"Le Consulat" came into existence during a creative journey focused on capturing the urban geometry of places infused with a timeless, poetic soul. I was profoundly inspired by the nostalgic atmosphere of Montmartre in Paris - traditionally the vibrant cradle of bohemian artists and free thinkers. Walking through those historic streets, I felt a deep connection between the architectural heritage of European cities and the mindful, silent execution of traditional Japanese ink wash painting (Sumi-e). I wanted to recreate the famous façade of the café not merely as a physical location, but as an intimate sanctuary of memory and artistic legacy.
