Original artwork description:

Title: LAZY WEEKEND

Acrylic painting on un-stretched linen canvas measuring 163 cm x 70 cm.
As the painting is sold un-stretched, it will require stretching around the stretcher bars. The usual margin for this has been allowed (5 - 10 cm ) which will result in the painting measuring approximately 153 - 60 cm depending on the depth of the stretcher. This is an abstract painting which may be hung any way up, to suit your space.

The painting will be shipped, rolled in a sturdy tube for safe arrival. It will require stretching at your framers, before hanging. The painting is worked in many layers, over a long period of time. Two coats of varnish have been applied to protect the surface.
ABOUT MY WORK

I'll begin a painting, with perhaps a colour in mind, or the mere stimulation of a blank surface. The painting takes over and directs the outcome. I love the unpredictability of this method, it's a subliminal message taking control of my trained hand.

*There's more on my 'about me' and 'me at work' pages above.
*Room settings are not to scale, colours may vary depending on your screen
settings.
This is a fairly open linen weave which does result in some seepage of white Gesso (preparation material) on the reverse which is common, and not visible when hung.

* all paintings are © chrissyguest

Materials used:

acrylic paint, brush, palette knife, art pen, varnish
