Original artwork description
My painting depicts the Warsaw Powiśle railway station as a place where time seems to be suspended. I focus on the atmosphere of specific sites we encounter in everyday life. Liminal spaces, non-places, and heterotopias are areas where no one truly stays – they are merely stops before the journey continues. These spaces particularly draw my attention. I try to capture their atmosphere and highlight their unique identity, which does not belong to any specific social group.
The evening felt heavy, and I kept staring at the bright geometry of the platform cutting through the darkness.
Exhibited in: “Endurlings. The End of the City” (2025, Warsaw)– the artist’s MFA graduation exhibition and the ArtShow Festival exhibition in Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw (2024).
The painting is ready to hang and will be delivered in secure, multi-layered packaging, insured and tracked to ensure its safety during transport. Each work comes with a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity, confirming its originality.
