Late Autumn (2022) Original Oil Painting by Tetiana Pchelnykova

In Late Autumn: Weather Within the Soul, Tetiana Pchelnykova merges figurative impressionism with poetic storytelling. Created in 2022, this impressive 110x70 cm oil painting captures a woman resting on a checkered blanket, immersed in reading as autumn foliage drifts softly around her.

Pchelnykova uses light, expressive brushwork and a rich, warm palette—interweaving pinkish-ochre background textures with bright red tones and cool azure highlights. The painting visually translates the philosophy that external seasons are merely reflections of our internal state. The book in the protagonist's hands becomes a symbol of comfort, reflection, and quiet joy, making this large canvas a soothing focal point for contemplative interiors.
