As I amble slowly along the shoreline I find the gentle lapping of the waves over the smooth sand punctuated by occasional rocks truly beguiling, lulling me into a blissful state of relaxation. It is this feeling that I want to convey in my painting as a memory hanging on the wall in the home. By making a few oil studies and sketches I can remember the scene in my mind's eye.

On returning to the studio I work on the composition and start the process which result's in the production of the final artwork. It certainly lifts one's mood to see the beauty of light in nature.

Lapping Waves is a framed original oil painting created and painted by myself. The back of the artwork is signed and you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity.
