I absolutely love painting the Landseer Lions. Something so noble and strong about them. Edwin Landseer really did capture their magnificent form and power in cast bronze incredibly well.
This was painted somewhat looser than my last effort of a the Lions at Trafalgar Square but keeping the soft painterly-ness of Big Ben and the proceeding street to give the Lion's the foreground focus.
