If you have never stood under ancient cottonwood trees. Listen to them sing in the breeze. You need to. It is one of the great songs of the prairie. Stories of days past and days to come. To walk among the cottonwoods is a spiritual journey for me. They are magical. And North Dakota badlands is one of the best places to walk with them. The combination of rugged and fluid. It is a beautiful thing.
