Artwork description:

This Octaptych handmade cyanotype print was inspired by a trip to the London Aquarium with my children. Aren't they just marvellous creatures! I think I'm a little obsessed, I've made linocuts, photopolymer etchings and now cyanotypes of jellyfish.

Each piece of the polyptych is A4 (so 8x A4 pieces) and comes unframed, you can choose how to frame each one, or mount them and have them in one big frame, the photos here show some examples. The last image shows that this can look good both ways up even! Please do message me if you have any questions.

There is a small edition of 5 available, please bare in mind there may be slight variations in each art work as they are all handmade & can come out slightly differently.

The cyanotype process uses a mixture of iron compounds, which when exposed to UV light and washed in water oxidise to create Prussian Blue images.

I can make most photographic images into a cyanotype print and take commissions if you have something particular you'd like.

I do have a two editions in high spec float mount frames, please request for additional pricing.

Materials used:

Fabriano Paper 310g, ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide, water
