Boris Novak's Yoghurt Culture Project.
The Yoghurt Culture Project developed from a joke by Louise Pirrotta (an ArtFinder artist) "If you want culture you better buy yoghurt!" Boris Novak, also an ArtFinder artist, started to be concerned about often-experienced absence of culture around us, and so, the "yoghurt project" grew naturally among artists on this pages.
Here you see my belated contribution to the Yoghurt Culture Project. Belated because this is absolutely the last painting posted ten days after closing date of the project!
This painting is based on Steve Gostling input to the Yoghurt Project named Yoghurt Counter Culture #2 -Time (you can find his painting in Steve Gostling's shop here on ArtFinder).
My painting plays with Steve's idea, the time, yoghurt, and with Elvis Presley's song It's Now or Never:
"It's now or never
Hold the cup tight
Kiss me my Yoghurt
Be my tonight
Tomorrow will be too late
It's now or never
My Y won't wait!"
I have painted on a sturdy sheet of Hahnemuele mould-made, acid free, age resistant paper (450 g/square meter, 210lbs) using artists quality acrylic paints and mediums.
Like all my paintings, this painting comes with certificate of authenticity.
