My inner voice is constantly battling with itself and can be exhasting. Constantly zapping my mental energy, it can sometimes make it hard to get stuff done.
I started creating little miniature pictures, sketches, doodles and patterns as a means to calm my inner voice and help me relax.
The little individual pictures are a reflection of memories, feelings and imagination, drawn from a state of mind rather than a specific location or reality. The miniature scale of the individual pieces invites the viewer to move inwards, the gaze is encouraged to slow down. The orderly nature of the final pictures when the little pictures are grouped is my happy state. I stand back and see an orderly grid that creates a calmness and harmony. Go in closer and there is that busy brain again, stand back and I can breathe once more... ahhhh.
