Photographed in 2013 during one of my bicycle journeys through the Caucasus, using my old Nikon D50. The road disappears into a dense veil of mist, while the trees and distant landscape gradually fade into the silence of the surrounding mountains.

For me, this image captures the feeling of being on the road without knowing exactly what lies ahead — a quiet moment between places, where the journey itself becomes more important than the destination.

The monochrome treatment emphasizes the atmosphere, simplicity and timeless character of the landscape.
