‘Into the Ether’ was painted in Sian Storey’s studio in Hampshire, England in Spring 2018. Using acrylics and spray paint, you'll see detailed, delicate brushwork, patterns, finished off with flashes of gold spray paint.
Sian paints in layers, as seen in the intricate stencil technique of the background and rich acrylic paint of the hummingbirds. The spray paint is used to diffuse edges and lines, creating a hazy, ethereal finish.
