Description:
"Into The Blue"
Painted on a medium sized 12 x 12" (30.5 x 30.5 cm) board. Inspired by the darkness of night on the open sea, I focused on illuminating the clouds to give an ethereal, haunting feel to the highlights, painting an array of stars to give the sky a deep-night feel. I used a select few blue colours for this painting, mixing phthalo and prussian blue's with indigo's and darks, a mix of soft whites to achieve a soft velvety feel to the highlighted clouds and touches of payne's gray to darken the stormy blues.
Oil on board.
This painting will require a frame to be hung. Frame for illustration only and not included in the listing.
Created 2021.
Size: Medium 12 x 12 inches (30.5 x 30.5 cm).
