Intertwined old and new (2025) Original Acrylic Painting by Suresh Jangid

This painting captures an elevated vista of Bundi, Rajasthan. The concept arose while wandering its historic lanes. Historically clustered around the fort, the old city now blends with modern developments. Local elders spoke of an ancient charm and architectural soul lingering in these quarters—a feeling best experienced firsthand.
This artwork reflects both nostalgia and modern dreams. From above, the old and new coexist peacefully, retaining their distinct identities. To convey this depth, I chose a thick paint medium (impasto), adding rich texture and weight. I deliberately abstracted distant city elements, inviting art lovers to lose themselves in the scene and form a personal connection.
