In this particular painting I am reflecting on my life far from Cape Cod where I grew up. I am waiting for a sailboat to arrive and take me home. The title "Living Inside A Still Life" is a metaphor for the stillness of my life as I await my return home.
"Inside A Still Life" is painted from my imagination inspired by the scenery inside and outside of my home. When painting I transform what inspires me through colors and brushstrokes adding to or detracting certain elements at will.
