This dark and mysterious undergrowth is part of the Forests series.

This painting is entirely made of glaze, thin layers of transparent glossy acrylics.

The paper is a strong 300g/m² Montval watercolour paper.

The use of glazes gives real depth to the colours. The acrylics used are extra-fine, high quality from Golden, or Liquitex. I choosed only transparent colours. It looks like glazes with oil painting, very rich, glossy, transparency color depth aspect.

The superimposed shades of blue give an extraordinary rendering of this colour. The work is mainly in blue tones: ultramarine, phthalocyanine, Prussia.
Some warm colours, in the underside, subtly modulate the tones.

The work is protected by a glossy varnish which accentuates the depth of the shadows and magnifies the colours.

This piece on paper will need to be framed, but it can be presented without glass.

Because of its thickness, this artwork will be sent flat, in solid packaging, with invoice and certificate of authenticity.
