Standing in a golden landscape, an Alchemist, capturing Colour and Light, cradling Hope.

Sisters, friends, or three views of one woman?
A triptych comprising three little nudes:
this set of imagery started off as one tiny painting of the woman reaching her hand to a swooping golden bird, but it evolved into a triptych where I added a figure on either side.

The background trees are loosely connected with very subtle rainbow colours, travelling from a soft red glow on the left to violet and magenta on the right.
The women’s hair have a suggestion of colour cascading at the outer edges and their hands cup many tiny coloured dots.
The clouds are mere hints at the top edges, and loosely tie the trio together too.

They are finely painted in watercolour & gold gouache onto A6 grey, handmade, acid-free paper - each piece has a lovely deckle edge.
I have photographed the paintings on my mantlepiece, by candlelight, to show the glow of the gold paint.

Each measure 10.5 x 15cm / 4.25 x 6"

Available unframed.
Update: these painting are sold but I may offer print versions soon

watercolour, gold gouache, pencil
