In the Grove II (2026) Screenprint by Helen Boden

Inspired by my potted lemon tree, this artwork was created by using offset relief shapes for the shadows and background texture. Then screen-printing colours on top with opaque and transparent inks the leaves and lemons appeared.
I like the contrasting flat colour of screen-printing against the grainy texture of the background. I have left an uneven edge to this piece as it reminds me of looking through a window.
The customer can choose whether to keep the edge or hide under a mount as I have signed it within the frame.
