Original artwork description:

A splendid example of a limited edition print taken from a very intricate ink drawing of Ilfracombe (North Devon) inner harbour at low tide with lots of boats.

This original drawing is published as a limited edition using a printing method typical of the Victorian era. Wet lithographic printing allows the lines and marks created by the pen to be replicated in the same line form as they were originally drawn. This particular image size, which is the same size as the original drawing is limited to 100.

This is one of my all time favourite drawings and I never tire of this image. It is one of only a few that I have on my own walls. The in-situ photograph is one of the limited edition prints in the size available here.

Please note that capturing the actual colour of the paper on the drawing and on the prints has proved very difficult, in fact impossible given the variations on different computer screens. Both the drawing and the print are on an ivory/pale cream coloured paper. again giving the subtle appearance of a Victorian etching or print.

Materials used:

ink
