The Dove of Peace is an expression that became well known after the Second World War, associated with the World Congress of Peace Supporters.
Did you know that near Kharkiv, in the village of Parkhomivka, there is an art museum where Pablo Picasso’s original engraving Dove of Peace (1961) is kept? 🕊️
I created this painting in May 2022 during an art residency in Barcelona, where I worked every day for about a month at Port Gallery. That time marked a turning point for me — I came for the residency and decided to stay and live in Barcelona.
This artwork was born from my longing for peace — the peace I wished for my Ukraine.
The painting is made with acrylic on canvas, featuring expressive, textured strokes.
It will be shipped rolled in a protective tube.
