Original artwork description
Delicate oil landscape of a small stream, flowing downhill and opening out towards the sea, in Portugal.
A sunny and peaceful place where the green grasses benefit from the flowing water, beneath a blue sky, reflected in the stream. Delicate greens, blues and yellows have been layered and blended to create this piece.
The canvas is 2cm deep, so I have 'wrapped' the colours from the front image around the edges of the canvas (please see additional photograph).
Professionally framed in a solid wood frame, hand painted in Farrow and Ball cream, and waxed to give a slight sheen.
Artwork is signed and dated on the rear and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
Lizzie Butler is a contemporary British painter.
She has exhibited at Leighton House Museum, Kensington, other London galleries and internationally.
