After falling into disrepair, the conservatory from Coombe Cliff House was dismantled and rebuilt in the grounds of the Horniman museum and gardens in South East London.
The beautiful conservatory (which reminds me of the glasshouse at Kew Gardens) is now used for weddings and special events.

This painting was made using layers of gesso, watercolour, printing inks and pen. Parts of the image were sanded away to evoke a ‘distressed’ & textural effect, leaving a rough, peeling surface to work into.
It is sold mounted and framed in a simple white frame, under glass and is ready to hang.

Materials used:

watercolour, ink, gesso,pen
