Original artwork description
The centerpiece of my 'Garden in Blue' collection - an immersive journey into the essence of floral beauty seen through the lens of memory and migration. Unlike traditional botanical art, Garden in Blue is a deep-dive exploration of light, shadow, and the meditative power of a single color palette.
The artwork is a vibrant fusion of deep indigo, electric blue, and delicate white tones. My inspiration stems from a profound discovery at the Delft ceramics museum, where I recognized a striking visual kinship between classic blue-and-white Delftware and the rhythmic patterns of Ukrainian folk art.
In this series, I have reimagined these historic motifs through a contemporary abstract lens. I do not replicate traditional forms; instead, I deconstruct their soul—the grace of floral lines and the balance of negative space—and translate them into modern, expressive painting. It is a dialogue between cultural heritage and current identity, where botanical symbolism meets the raw energy of abstract expressionism.
Mastering the Palette: This work demonstrates the absolute potential of monochromatic depth. It is bold, sophisticated, and perfectly suited for a high-end, contemporary interior.
Finish: Protected with high-quality acrylic varnish with a UV filter to preserve the colors. The painting is signed on the front.
