The “Beyond Blue” monoprints (from 2 etched plates) are part of a series of prints developed in Spring 2021.
We all experienced our environment in a different way through the global lock down periods. Many of us were walking through our neighbourhoods and parks more often and explored local nature reserves. Long walks helped me to step back from the uncertainty of our reality at the time and allow my mind to wonder, reflect and day dream.
'Beyond Blue' are abstract landscapes, inviting the eyes to travel into the deep blue distance, inspiring to ‘see’ and to imagine what could be. It is an image inviting you to escape into that deep blue, or your own narrative.

The etchings are hand printed on acid free printmaking paper from 2 etching plates by me in my studio in Brighton, UK.
Each images of the series differs slightly. The one pictured here is 'Beyond Blue' no.8. The image size is 35cm x35cm, with a paper margin of 8cm all around.
