Moody navy blue skies in this long exposure photograph made on the Isle of Harris in northern Scotland. This island is full of surprises and on the day this image was made a dark clouds were rolling in from the sea promising rain. It felt as though the sea was rushing towards the break in the clouds above and then the sunlight from behind me lit up the water in an unexpected burst of colour. The fabulous teal colour of the water around these islands fascinates me, it seems to promise better things to come if we only wait.

Printed on my fabulous heavy weight fine art paper so it lies beautifully in a frame. It has a bright white appearance and a texture like watercolour paper. The colours are intense and will not fade for at least 100 years.
