I visit the Lake District a few times a year and stay in Shap on the Eastern edge of the Lakes. Haweswater is our nearest lake (though it's actually a reservoir). It is not the prettiest of the lakes but if you want to walk all day in solitude it's the perfect place. Peace, tranquillity and the wild surroundings with the High Street ridge rising up behind it.

This view is from the road as you drive down to the car park at the bottom, looking across to Riggindale.

Acrylic on board, varnished and framed in a lovely wooden frame I've painted white and waxed. Ready to hang.

It measures 36cm x 36cm x 3cm.

I've signed the back and it will be sent with a signed certificate of authenticity but please let me know if you'd like it signed on the front.
