Hare and big moon (2016) Original Mixed-media Painting by Fiona Plaisted

Even the smallest room could accommodate this cute miniature canvas of the magical hare under the moon. Inspired by driving one warm late summer night under a big, beautiful moon :) This little canvas is ready to hang.

I start the canvas with a rough pencil sketch and then I add the coloured paper before building up the layers with acrylic paint. The last thing I add are the embellishments of thread, beads and glitter to pick out or highlight certain areas.
