“Hands Tied by Fate” is inspired by the East Asian legend of the invisible red thread of fate — a symbolic bond connecting people who are destined to meet and influence one another’s lives.
Two hands reach toward each other, their palms meeting in a quiet, balanced gesture. A delicate red thread wraps around them and continues beyond the composition, suggesting a connection that may stretch, twist, or become tangled, but is never completely broken.
Soft blue, grey, and blush tones create a calm, contemplative atmosphere, while the textured surface gives the painting tactile depth and a subtle sense of movement.
This artwork is part of my ongoing exploration of the language of hands — the way a simple gesture can express closeness, trust, longing, and emotional connection without words.
