Guardian Presence (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Edelgard Schroer

Guardian Presence is an original abstract painting created with high-quality acrylics on canvas. Rich layers of cream, beige, petrol tones and umber tones create a deep and atmospheric composition, while the exceptionally textured art surface adds a fascinating tactile quality.

At the heart of the painting, an organic, flowing form seems to emerge from the many layers of colour and structure. To me, it evokes the presence of a guardian angel or a quiet protective spirit – a reassuring figure that seems to watch over the space around it. Yet the image remains deliberately abstract, allowing each viewer to discover their own interpretation.

The combination of petrol blue, gold, earthy umber and warm neutral shades gives the work a calm, contemplative character. Fine lines, raised structures and translucent layers reveal traces of the painting process and create a sense of depth that becomes particularly apparent when viewed up close.

This spiritual art has a quiet presence rather than a dramatic one. It may evoke feelings of protection, inner peace and connection, making it a meaningful original artwork for a contemporary home, meditation space or collection of sacred art.

The painting measures 70 × 70 cm and is presented in a high-quality cream-coloured shadow gap frame. The framed dimensions are 73 × 73 cm. The painting is ready to hang.

A contemplative piece of contemporary art for collectors drawn to abstract art, expressive textures and works that leave room for personal meaning.
