A pomegranate garden blooms on a round canvas. Ripe fruits painted with oil radiate warmth and light, like precious stones scattered among the lush greenery. There are a lot of pomegranate trees near my house, which delight with their picturesqueness in autumn. Looking at the juicy and bright fruits, you can understand why the ancient Greeks made the pomegranate a symbol of fertility and prosperity. The garnets are painted in my favorite technique: pasty, with an abundance of "open" colors, with rich relief and expressive palette knife strokes.
