Golden Stillness is an original warm-toned ink drawing on paper depicting a solitary profile defined by a few broad, decisive gestures.
A wide band of golden-brown ink crosses the upper part of the face, while a large curved stroke follows the back of the head. Beneath it, the neck extends downward in long tapering lines. The facial features remain simple and calm against the stronger movement surrounding them.
The partially covered face gives the figure a withdrawn, inward quality. Rather than portraying stillness as complete absence of movement, the work places calm inside a composition that is visibly active—creating a balance between restraint, protection, and quiet presence.
