Golden grasses
Beneath Duncliffe hill,
I look up to the sunset light,
Finding the time to stop,
Seeing the muted colours of the woods,
The threads of gold in the field.
Words and expression.
A special area that is looked after by the Woodland trust is ancient Duncliffe hill covered in so many amazing trees. A mysterious place with so much history. I explore it often as it’s the nearest hill to Shaftesbury hill in North Dorset where I live.
