Original artwork description:

The female nude is admired for its beauty. It is both intimate and vulnerable; for there is nothing else quite like painting a living, breathing body.

I have exaggerated the foreshortened pose by the purposeful enlargement of the girl’s hands. The simple blanket and lack of shadows is deliberate and flattens the painting: showing the influence of wood carving designs in my art.

This painting is “wrapped” ie the painting extends around the chunky sides of the canvas for perfect viewing when hung without a frame.

This painting will be shipped on the stretcher securely in a reinforced envelope of polycarbonate sheeting. (Please message me to arrange a more economical shipping price off of the stretcher in a tube if you are intending to frame this artwork). All shipping prices are estimated but rest assured that any overpayment charged will be refunded back to the customer once the painting has been shipped.
