Original artwork description
Walking along the shoreline always presents interesting painting opportunities. One afternoon the atmospheric effects created an orange glow across the sky and sea. I sketched it, made colour notes and photographed the moment. I wanted to capture the play of light which is so fleeting in an oil painting.
On returning to the studio I worked on the composition and started to produce the final artwork. It certainly lifts one's mood to see the beauty of light in nature.
From The Shallows is a framed original oil painting created and painted by myself. The back of the artwork is signed and you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity.
