This piece of Gongbi painting describes a tranquil world, where the moon is shining, the snow is falling, and the birds are resting. The red-bill blue magpies sitting on top of the plum blossom branches refers to the classic image that represents happiness in the eastern world: 喜上眉梢, which is also the title, written in cursive script.
