Original artwork description
While working on Fragments in Balance, I found myself reflecting on how different phases of life often exist together rather than separately. Certain moments feel grounded and stable, while others remain uncertain, shifting, or unresolved and yet somehow, they continue to coexist within the same emotional landscape.
As the painting evolved, the composition began to remind me of fragments of memory, architecture, and experience coming together like pieces of an unfinished map. The strong dark lines created divisions, but they also became connections holding the entire structure together despite its contrasts. The horizontal blue form across the upper section introduced a sense of distance and pause, almost like a horizon cutting through an otherwise dense and layered space.
The work developed intuitively through adjustment and response rather than planning.
