“For a moment, everything felt exactly as it should”

This original oil painting explores the quiet movement of water, where reflections, light and depth merge into an almost abstract landscape. Shades of deep turquoise, blue and green create a sense of transparency, while touches of white and luminous green suggest light moving across and beneath the surface.

The painting is inspired by the fleeting moments when water becomes both physical and atmospheric — a space where the eye can move freely between what is seen on the surface and what seems to exist underneath.

Part of my ongoing exploration of calm water and its emotional qualities, this work invites a moment of stillness and contemplation. The layered brushwork and shifting reflections create a sense of depth and movement while preserving an overall feeling of tranquility.
