we fell in summer flowers, oil and acrylic on canvas, 120 x 120 x 4 cm

This painting is about that feeling of being completely inside a moment, where everything else fades away. It’s inspired by those long summer days that seem to stretch on forever, when the air is warm, the colours feel brighter, and time somehow slips away without you noticing.

I wanted this piece to feel immersive, like you’ve stepped into a garden that’s slightly wild and overflowing, where flowers blur into movement and colour. The drips, splashes and layers are intentional, capturing that sense of freedom and spontaneity, like being caught up in something you don’t want to leave.

There’s a softness to it too, a sense of connection and ease, as if you’ve fallen into the moment without trying.

For me, this work is about letting go, being present, and the kind of summer that feels endless while you’re inside it.

Due to its size, this artwork ships rolled in a tube. This is safer for the artwork in transit. Your local picture framers can re stretch the artwork to hang.
