The poppy, in turn, was a multifaceted symbol among different peoples. There are many legends and myths about it, poppy - a symbol of happiness, eternal love, joy. Buddhists were firmly convinced that the poppy appeared after the sleeping Buddha touched the ground with his eyelashes.
In China, there is a legend that those fish that can climb up the Yellow River fall into the realm of the Dragon and as a result of their struggle for success, the carp koi becomes a dragon or fish dragon. Therefore, this fish is called the king of all fish, it is considered a symbol of power and superiority.
