Feathered Family (2024) (2024) Original Oil Painting by Christopher Abrams

58.42 x 26.67 x 7.62cm (framed)

£375

This more, abstract original oil painting are a small family hidden among branches of a British garden, a lively Blue Tit family thrived amidst the emerald leaves. The youngest, a vibrant ball of light green fluff, fluttered energetically on the left of the branch. The light piercing through the foliage to reveal the beautiful blue of its wings whilst it tries to gain the attention of its mother, the caring matriarch for a feast of bugs, insects and the like.

It is because of her nurturing nature that she seems to possess a 'oh. I am tired' look in her eye. Something I am sure all parents of small children will understand. Striking, bold brush strokes accompany the small, detailed touches in a range of lime greens, baby blues and brilliant whites that create her beautiful colours.

To the right, its sibling, with a quizzical look and posture - 'what on earth is all this racket', they are possibly asking.

Together, this resilient Blue Tit family embodied the essence of unity and growth, each member contributing to a harmonious melody and quirky playfulness in the garden.
