Fantasy Mermaid / Miphology (2026) Original Drawing by Yulia Evsyukova

Here, a white-haired mermaid holds a golden crown—unwanted by anyone—that she has retrieved from a hoard of treasure lying on the seabed for centuries. As for the story behind it—let the viewer’s imagination tell it.
Chests of coins, weapons and gemstones encrusted with silt and seaweed...
To whom did they belong?

Reflections on the famous Latin phrase ("Sic transit gloria mundi") "Thus passes worldly glory," which I have woven into a mermaid-themed piece.

Title: "Sic transit gloria mundi"
