This painting would be a unique addition to the eclectic home. For anyone enjoying portraiture this original woman's head was painted in transparent watercolour with strong tonal features.

It was also selected for The Mall Galleries at the 156th Annual Exhibition of The Society of Women Artists in 2018 after having been accepted by 2 juried panels.

I was mesmerized by the beauty of this woman's profile, the opportunities for graceful veils of rich warm and then cool glaze to portray her peaceful and confident countenance.

It is framed in natural oak effect frame and double mounted with cream outer and dark chocolate filet.

I chose to omit hair and any other decoration as when I ended the initial washes and saw that fine point at the base of her neck I felt no more could be added without destroying the paintings integrity.
