This is my heartfelt return to one of my favourite themes—vast, expressive skies where tiny tree lines ground the overwhelming expanse above. I experimented with a single batch of colors, embracing both efficiency and playful creativity, to evoke that dynamic interplay between sky and land. I hope this piece inspires you to see the world a little differently.

A monotype is a one-off hand-made print, just as unique as a painting. I used rollers and dabbers to spread out ink on a smooth plastic board then made marks with a cloth and other tools. The ink was transferred to the paper using a hand-operated printing press. I built up layers of over-lapping colours by printing several times. I use paper stencils to make the crisp edges.

This piece will be supplied with pencil marks showing where to place a window mount to cover the edges.

Unmounted: It comes wrapped in tissue and plastic. It's dispatched rolled in a wide strong tube, suitable for international shipping with FedEx.

Materials used:

Oil-based artist quality ink on Rives BFK cotton rag paper
